Dr. Glenn Crum, president of C.G. Laboratories worked for Johnson and Johnson at Arlington, Texas in the Microbiology Research Department for four years. The work experience included microbial research on antimicrobial agents and new product development. In 1975 he transferred to Ethicon, Inc. San Angelo, Texas, a division of Johnson and Johnson. Here he was manager of Technical Services and was responsible for cobalt radiation sterilization, microbiology and chemistry testing, and ethylene oxide operations. In addition he served as a corporate director for clean room technology for Ethicon, Inc. His school experience included a Bachelors of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters and Doctorate from University of North Texas.

C.G.Laboratories, Inc. was initially started in San Angelo, Texas in 1983. The testing included medical device testing such as product sterility, pre-sterilized bioburden, environmental monitoring and sterilization validations.

In 1987 the laboratory was relocated in Fort Worth, Texas. The testing included the previous types of testing in addition to conducting on-site audits for good manufacturing practices. Additional testing included forensic and clinical testing.

The laboratory was relocated in Granbury, Texas in 1996. The company was expanded to include packaging, sterilization, and distribution of medical devices for various medical companies.
